Artist Statement

My goal as an animal portrait photographer is to create long lasting portraits of animals for their people to cherish for a lifetime and capturing the personalities of shelter animals who are in need of a home to aide in the process of finding their forever homes. 

I have loved animals, bugs and reptiles ever since I was a little girl. I used to love going to the zoo the park or just getting down close to the ground to see the wonders of the world up close. I would sit there for hours just observing the world they lived in. 

When I got my first camera, it opened a whole new world for me because I was then able to show and explain what I saw in their world and mine. 

I love capturing the genuine, nonjudgemental look in the eyes of all animals and  bringing to life the personalities of each animal whether it’s being goofy, shy, spunky or just relaxed, each animal has their own unique spirit.

One of the things I admire most about animals is they all have a past, good or bad, but animals live only for today, something we all should do. I hope the world I see can bring you happiness and joy!
